Bio : Margaret Kelly

Graduated with a first in Computing Science from North Staffs. Poly in 1987, took French as one of her main options and did her industrial year in Paris, living in Boulogne-Billancourt and working for a large American pharmaceutical company called Lilly.

Margaret Kelly joined Logica in London in 1987 and enjoyed assignments first in California's Silicon Valley working for Tandem, then in Paris working for Alcatel (CIT and TITN). She lived in San José, Sunnyvale, Los Gatos, Paris 5ième, Antony and London's East Ham.

Margaret Kelly married Jean-Jacques in 1993, moved to Brittany and joined France Telecom Transpac.

'We bought an old farmhouse with 7 hectares of land, an outdoor stone oven, a ancient well and a little stone bridge over a river.'
'Our children, Seán, Siobhán and Ciarán were born in 1995, 1997 and 2000. When Ciarán was born I took 3 years off work to focus on home and house and family. The children are all at school now, all bi-lingual and all doing well. Seán is a great fan of Harry Potter, Siobhán is learning to ride a Pony, they both love Age of Empires, Dinosaurs, drawing and playing outside. Ciarán is doing his best to catch up with them and succeeding very well.'

Margaret Kelly returned to work in 2003.

'The entity of Transpac that I work for has been contributed to France Telecom's international telecommunications service provider, Equant. For the first time in 10 years I have British colleagues. I work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday as a Bid Manager putting together Equant customer solutions involving messaging, hosting and security. I spend Wednesdays with the children. There is no school in France on Wednesday and this breaks the week up nicely.'

Leisure activities include going to England to see family and friends, running the local school parents association, cooking and generally getting involved in everything that goes on at the school and in the local village.
